Erajaya To Manufacture Venera 137 At New Factory

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Erajaya Swasembada (ERAA) has tested the celullar production in their newest assembly plant in Pulogadung, East Jakarta. In the trial, Erajaya assembles its handset dubbed Venera 137.

“With the full operational of this factory, we want to assist brand owners to meet government regulation on domestic content level as well as becoming an end-to-end partner to brand owners,” Chief Executive Officer Erajaya Hasan Aula said Thursday, August 13.

The Venera 137 is a feature-type cellular which has been around since 2012. The company that started the business in the cellular distribution sector imported the materials from China.

“The production test is a milestone for us. Erajaya expects to quickly learn plenty of things in this stage,” said Hasan,

The factory will start its operation after Erajaya acquired 51 percent shares from PT Axioo International Indonesia from PT Eka Nusa Persada in April 29 2015. Erajaya acquired Axioo for Rp 51 billion to develop the assembly plant and manufacture celluar phones in Indonesia.
