TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian footballer Evan Dimas Darmono took off to Spain to join trial session at UE Llagostera Football Club, currently playing in Adelente (second division). CEO of Persebaya Surabaya Gede Widiade said that Evan Dimas’ departure was endorsed by a property businessman from Indonesia.
“He is a friend of mine. Back on July, he said that there is a Spanish club expressing interest on Evan Dimas,” said Gede on Tuesday, August 11.
Gede later asked the club to send an official letter to Persebaya. “They did send a letter. Couple of days after that, their rep came over Indonesia and met me at my place,” he said.
“They expressed interest to three players. Evan is the first out of three,” he said.
