TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama said he would set the electronic road pricing (ERP) system in Singapore as an example for ERP implementation in Jakarta.
Ahok said on Tuesday, August 4, in his office that Singapore is a good example for implementing ERP.
“They must calculate what kind of system is the most effective and efficient there,” he said.
Ahok has asked the Jakarta Transportation Agency to not only duplicate Singapore’s technology, but also predict the latest technology that will be implemented in Singapore in the future.
According to Ahok, if the ERP system later is not similar to the one in Singapore, it is most certainly that there are misappropriations.
ERP system has not bee officially installed in Jakarta even though the trial was conducted a year ago. One of the obstacles is in the auction of the procurement of tools that will be installed in several roads in Jakarta.
