TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) asked all teachers and alumnus of State Senior High School (SMAN) 19 at Jalan Perniagaan, Tambora, West Jakarta, to participate in improving education quality.
"We hope all teachers could improve education quality thus SMAN 19 can be re-aligned to other good quality schools ," said Ahok when he attended the 49th SMAN 19 anniversary, Sunday (8/2).
At this time, he stated, there is no more discrimination in schools such as international and excellent schools, etc. All schools are the same.
In order to improve education quality in Jakarta, Jakarta Provincial Government is going to continuously help schools that are in need of assistance such as building renovation and aid distribution to students with Jakarta Smart Card.
Ahok also asked the SMAN 19 alumnus who are involved in business sector to be honest and committed in running their business. For instance, is by paying tax building tax and not commit cheating.
"I will give sanction for all offenders indiscriminately," he asserted.
