East Nusa Tenggara Police Arrest Islamic State Sympathizers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Regional East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police said on Monday, August 3, 2015, that they had secured three residents people for their alleged involvement in the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
All three are were arrested on Friday at Alor District and currently being detained at NTT Regional Police Department.
The men where posed themselves as an herbal traditional healer while lecturing on ISIS teachings to the local community.
Those three were identified as ZK (Zakarias Kiri) and HI from Alor District and SU (Syamsudin Uba) from Bekasi. Police have also seized ISIS evidences such as attributes installed inside a laptop and ISIS flag and drawings concealed in the home of ZK.
They were caught carrying ISIS flag and drawings on the house wall. “All three people have been secured for safety reasons,” said Director of Common Criminal NTT Regional Police Department Sam Kawengian.
ZK admit it was his first time joining ISIS and collecting ISIS data. “Honestly, this is my first time joining,” he said. Those three are currently undergoing intensive investigation on the spreading of ISIS members in the region.
Antara news agency earlier reported that NTT police were questioning two people allegedly linked to ISIS.
