TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - In welcoming Independence Day that falls on August 17th, Tanjung Priok Urban Village Office in North Jakarta continues to beautify the area by repainting concrete roadblocks that were spread over in some points.
A total of 61 Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) personnel were deployed in the process that has been going on since Wednesday (7/29) until Thursday (7/30). The roadblock painting locations are located in Tanjung Priko terminal until Solo Bone Bridge, and Jalan Enggano until Jalan Martadinata, precisely in Taman Volker.
"We divide them into two working hours, noon and night. We already told them that there is some work conditions that remain to be settled such as an emergency work like this time," told Dyah Pertiwi Trihandayani, PPSU Section Head of Tanjung Priok Urban Village, Friday (7/31).
Tanjung Priok Urban Village Head, Ma'mun added, the painting project is an effort to beautify Tanjung Priok area in welcoming Independence Day as directed by Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat.
"We want to create Jakarta to be more beautiful. After that, we will clean drainage and protocol road from trash and manage the street vendors," told Ma'mun.
