TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta City Administration will get additional buses from the Ministry of Transportation. The bus is similar with 'rapid transit standardization' or just like Transjakarta bus.
Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama admitted that the city administration will receive 300 units out of total 3,000 buses which are assembled up to 2019. The bus will operate in the Greater Jakarta Area (Jabodetabek) under Perum Perusahaan Pengangkutan Djakarta (PPD) as a Transjabodetabek mode.
“As much as 78 buses will arrive at the first phase. Later on, there will 300 buses arrived in the city,” he said, Friday (7/31).
Those buses will operate outside Jakarta and passing on Transjakarta bus lane. No additional charge for Transjakarta passengers if they want to ride this bus. "Outside Jakarta passenger only pays Rp9,000," he added.
The passenger who move to other corridors will not be charged any fee. Therefore, tap machine will be provided inside the bus.
In the future, the system will be applied in Kopaja, Metromini, and Kopami management.
