Jokowi Upset After No Improvements in Dwelling Time

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo told reporters on Friday, July 31, 2015, he had ordered the police to investigate the cause of the slow process of loading and unloading of imported goods or dwelling time.
He issued the command after the President saw no development after the protested over the issue a few months ago.
"I ordered the police to look into the condition. What is actually happening on the ground, whether it is as what I thought. Apparently, this is what is happening today," he said during a visit at the Hajj Dormitory at Pondok Gede, East Jakarta on Friday.
Jokowi said he had ordered the coordinating minister and ministers concerned to overcome the dwelling time problem in five ports. Initially about six months ago at Tanjung Priok, then two months ago Jokowi conducted spot checks to see the development, but there was no change.
"I see that there is no progress, so I am angry," said Jokowi.
Jakarta Police had named non-active Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade Partogi Pangaribuan as a suspect. Besides Partogi, the police had also named three other suspects in the case.
