TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Blazing fire have occurred in the area of Pondok Pinang, South Jakarta, razing a wood storage house since 5pm Sunday.
According to the informations gathered by Antara, fire at the wood storage house was first spotted at 5pm and started blazing due to strong winds and numerous flammable materials in the area.
According to TMC Polda Metro Jaya’s official twitter account, the fire has not been entirely extinguished by 8:30pm.
About 30 firetrucks were deployed to the scene. The wood storage house belonged to the Jakarta Administration.
Its exact location is at Gang Murni RT 04 RW 07 Pondok Pinang Street, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta.
The cause of the fire and the amount of damages are still unknown.
Due to the fire, traffic in the area of Ciputat Raya Street is congested. Congestions occurred from Ciputat Raya to Lebak Bulus.
