SOE Ministry Provides Free Homecoming Ticket for 78,000 Travelers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Enterprises Ministry on Sunday (12/7) at Parkir Timur Senayan held a special program, which saw homecoming travelers receive free tickets to return home.
A total of 78,000 homecoming travellers too part in the program and they departed from Jakarta cities in Java and Sumatra.
"This program is presented by 22 state-owned enterprises coordinated by the State-owned Enterprises Ministry,” said President Director of Bank Tabungan Negara, Maryono in his opening remarks before sending off the travelers.
According to Maryono, from 22 state-owned enterprises, 16 of them provide free tickets for the travelers and 6 other enterprises act as provider of homecoming travel.
Maryono said that 7,000 homecoming travellers received free bus tickets and are accommodated by 153 buses; 4,000 homecoming travellers received free train tickets; 450 travellers received free ship tickets; and 320 travellers receive free plane tickets.
Maryono further said that this program is a synergy among state-owned enterprises to help the public, consumers and all stakeholders.
"This is our commitment in the annual CSR program of every state-owned enterprise and we’re going to make it a yearly activity,” he said.
Among state-owned enterprises joining the program were BTN bank, Pelindo II, PGN, Mandiri, Telkom, and Taspen.
