TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - With Eid al-Fitr coming in two weeks, Tanjung Emas harbor in Semarang prepares for a huge wave of incoming travelers by improving its infrastructures. It is estimated that the amount of passengers that will go through the harbor will reach 90,717 people this year.
"Facilities to accommodate the travelers have been prepared," said Tri Suhardi, General Manager of Tanjung Emas harbor, on Monday, July 6, 2015.
Tri added that this year, the harbor had also prepared additional modes of transportation for travelers arriving in ships. "We will provide six buses serving four different routes for travelers around Central Java," Tri said.
A large number of travelers are expected to arrive five days before Eid al-Fitr, the free buses will be available to take them to several destinations (Pati, Pemalang, Wonosobo, Solo, and Jogja.)
