TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2015 has been officially closed Sunday evening, July 5, after opening for 38 days.

The closing ceremony took place at the main stage attended by PT Jakarta International Expo leaders along with Deputy Governor of Tourism and Culture Sector Jakarta, Silviana Murni.

“This is the peak event of Jakarta Fair.  Until the last day, Jakarta Fairt went very well,” PT JIExpo Marketing Director Ralph Scheunemann said in Jakarta on Sunday, July 5.

Ralph says that transaction value at Pekan Raya Jakarta reached a staggering Rp5.5 trillion.

A Rp5.6 trillion transaction value is possible to achieve.  “So I think the event went quite well,” said Ralph.  The amount represents a transaction value for 38 days.

During the last day, at least more than 100,000 visitors crowded the area to hunt for various discount and clearance programs.  Few exhibitors also gave massive discounts of up to 80 percent before the closing.

Visitors were also entertained by Kotak band, singer Kikan along with a spectacular firework party at the end of the event.

“There will also be a handover for the main prize of Toyota Fortuner, eight motorcycles, best stand and carnival winner,” said Ralph.

The Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2015 is held by PT Jakarta International Expo in collaboration with the Jakarta administration.

The largest Southeast Asia expo and entertainment has been held for the 48th times, in the event to enliven the 488th Anniversary of Jakarta.

Jakarta Fair also has various family entertainments, non-stop 38-day music concert presenting more than 260 bands and top Indonesian singers, and Miss Jakarta Fair beauty contest.
