TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - To solve trash problem optimally in the capital city, Jakarta Provincial Government needs 8,000 new janitors as freelancer (PHL). By so, the total of the janitors can reache 20,000 people in Jakarta.
Jakarta Sanitary Department, Isnawa Adji mentioned, to solve the trash problem, his side only have 12,000 of PHL for today. "We also have other problems , such as lack of dump truck and garbage disposal site (TPS)," Adji told, Sunday (7/5).
Currently, Jakarta Provincial Government only have 820 dump trucks. To maintain trash problem optimally, he admitted his side needs 1,200 new dump trucks.
Then, the 5,000 to 6,700 tons of trash that usually transported to Integrated Garbage Disposal Site (TPST) in Bantar Gebang, Bekasi, is charged a fee of Rp130,000 per ton.
Adji added, his side will maximize trash bank program and educate citizen to reduce cost of trash disposal to solve financial problem of trash disposal.
