Police to Deploy Thousands to Secure Eid al-Fitr

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti said that he will deploy 145,676 Police personnel for the Eid al-Fitr 2015 security operation. Personnel will also standby for the 16-day Ketupat Operation starting on Monday, July 6, 2015.

"We will provide security and always be on alert during Eid," Badrodin said on Monday, July 6, 2015. "Along with the Armed Forces, Transportation Department and Civil Service Police Unit, we will also maintain traffic flows."

Badrodin said that to Police have prepared a scenario for diverting traffic flows during homecoming, particularly for the northern coast route (pantura). "Congestions are expected to occur before Pejagan toll gate until Brebes, and then until Tegal," Badrodin said.
