Due to Airport Fire, Garuda Changes Flight Route

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Garuda Indonesia Airline took steps to unite four Garuda flights to Surabaya and Bali with larger aircraft.
The anticipation was because of a fire that emerged at Terminal 2E Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Sunday, July 5, 2015. Eight flights were originally scheduled in the morning.
Senior Manager of Public Relations of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Ikhsan Rosan, said that four Garuda flights for Surabaya were united and it depart at 12:30 pm with Airbus Boeing 747-400 aircraft, and for the destination to Bali will be with the same aircraft also at 16:30 pm. Once haul, these large-bodied aircrafts can take 22 business class and 435 economy class passengers.
"For domestic passengers who have checked in manually, we unite four flights with larger aircraft. As for international flights, we have no information of when it will be flying, as check-in counters are still closed, "said Ikhsan when contacted on Sunday, July 5th, 2015.
Because of the fire coming from the JW Sky Lounge in Terminal 2E, some Garuda flights were delayed. The delayed flights were Singapore flight at 07:00 am and Ghuangzou flight at 08:30 am.
