TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As a result of a prolonged conflict experience by the Indonesian football association, Persib Bandung management decided to dismiss the club. The nation-wide conflict has caused Persib Bandung to lose major sponsors, an eventually losing financial support.
"It means that the players no longer belong to Persib. They are free agents," said Head Coach Djadjang Nurdjaman on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. "For me, it is not easy to round up the boys if the competition restarts. Nevertheless, they are free to go."
Director of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) Risha Adi Wijaya, said that the club's dismissal means that management has decided to terminate the players' contract. However, should the competition restarts, the management will invite all the players to join the club. "The new contract probably will only valid for a 4-month period," Risha said with uncertainty.
