TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Governor of Jakarta Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama, , said that no laws were violated in the allocation of Rp 7.7 trillion to PT Jakarta Propertindo. The allocation was claimed to be in accordance with the Jakarta Regional Regulation No. 12/2004 on Government Investment.
Ahok explained that allocating fund to region-owned enterprises (BUMD) is the governor's authority.
Ahok added that, Jakpro is entitled to Rp 10 trillion government investment. So far the BUMD has only received Rp 2.3 trillion Rupiah. "I would be wrong if I gave Jakpro more than ten trillion Rupiah," Ahok Said.
Ahok also asserted that the fund given to Jakpro will be put to good use. The construction company will use the money to proceed with the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project.
