TEMPO.CO, Surabaya - Dory fish has helped four students of the Airlangga University to win in Mtrepeneur Competition, a contest for culinary business that was held in Surabaya by Mover community. The students outmatched the 500 competitors with fish and chips accompanying Dory fish as main menu, and bring home a foodtruck as the prize.
“I’m so happy to win it,” said Adit, one of the students who named themselves Team Dover’s Fish Bar, when met at the Kafe De meer.
“With the foodtruck, we project minimum sale of 300 portion each week.”
Team Dover’s Fish Bar fascinated the judges with its Dory fish menu and tartar sauce. The team also led in the business-planning category.
Outside the contest, Dover’s Fish Bar offers it’s main menu for Rp25,000.- per portion. This main menu is consisting of dory fish and ‘coral reefs’ potato. The team is now improving their business plan and intensively promoting it through social media. The foodtruck is planned to hot the road after Eid El Fitr.
