Banda Aceh Set to Hold Kampung Ramadan Festival

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Banda Aceh City Administration is set to enliven Ramadan by holding `Kampung Ramadan` festival on July 4.

“It is scheduled next week, now is the preparation,” said Head of Banda Aceh Tourism and Cultural Agencu, Fadhil.

Kampung Ramadan will be concentrated on Jalan Tepi Kali (Krueng) Aceh, a strateguc place nearby Baiturrahman Grand Mosque and Atjeh Market.There will be culinary festival, Ramadan tradition, competitions for children and muslim wear fashion show.

“It is also held to promote Banda Aceh as a world Islamic tourism destination,” Fadhil added.

“I can’t wait to see the event,” said Zulfikar, a resident of Banda Aceh who likes photography.
