Residents in Pasaman, South Solok urged to Brace for Earthquakes

TEMPO.CO, Padang - Residents in Pasaman and South Solok in West Sumatra province have been told to prepare for the earthquake that might hit their regions.
The local government and the residents have also been urged to take measures to prevent the risks of the disaster.
The warning came form Chairman of the West Sumatera Indonesian Geologist Association Ade Edward in response to the earthquake measuring 5.1 in Richter scale that hit West Sumatera on Saturday (12/6) at 2.54 am local time.
The center of the quake was located 22 kilometers to the southwest of South Solok with the depth of 10 km.
