4 June 2015 15:16 WIB

Tender Proyek Infrastruktur Dipercepat

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), with the support of the World Bank Group (WBG), will hold the Indonesia Green Infrastructure Summit 2015 (IGIS 2015) on June 9, to June 10, 2015. During the event, stakeholders will discuss the steps that must be taken to achieve environmental protection and sustainable development principles in the implementation of the Mid-Term National Development Plan 2015-2019 (RPJMN).

The event is also considered to be a follow up of the commitment made by the Indonesian government and businesses to support ‘green development’ programs in an effort to achieve sustainable development.

Scheduled to participate in the event are Vice President Jusuf Kalla, and World Bank Group Managing Director Sri Mulyani Indrawati, who is also the former Finance Minister of Indonesia. Both Kalla and Sri Mulyani are scheduled to deliver a statement of joint commitment between the government and the WBG to eradicate poverty, provide equal welfare, and to achieve green and sustainable development with the support of the private sector

Zulnahar Usman Deputy Chairman of KADIN on Infrastructure and the Chief of the IGIS 2015 Organizing Committee, hoped that the event would improve the role of private sector in achieving sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo Chaves, Head Representative of the World Bank to Indonesia, said the World Bank will continue to improve its partnership with KADIN in an attempt to accelerate the development of environmentally friendly infrastructure.
