TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – PT Jakarta International Expo marketing director Ralph Scheunemann has set a target of five million people visitors to the 2015 Jakarta Fair held in Kemayoran, Jakarta. He predicted that the 38-day fair would generate Rp5 trillion (US$384.6 million) worth of transactions.
Scehunemann explained that there would be about 2,700 enterprises participating with a total of 1,500 booths.
“The participants are multinational, large, medium, small, micro and cooperative enterprises from 22 provinces in Indonesia,” Scheunemann said in a release dated Friday, May 29, 2015.
According to Scheunemann, various signature products to be displayed at the fair include automotive products, cars, motorcycles, household utilities, handicrafts, textiles, electronics, sports utilities, food and beverages, as well as services.
Sheunemann revealed that the fair would be themed “The Spirit of Kemayoran Jakarta Fair, The Spirit of Indonesia,” in the hope that the fair would have a positive impact on the country’s economy. Scheunemann expected that the Jakarta Fair would encourage business owners to improve their productivity and creativity in industry and trade.
The 2015 Kemayoran Jakarta Fair will kick off on May 29, 2015 and last till July 5, 2015. Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and Vice President Jusuf “JK” Kalla are slated to open the fair.
