TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim) has continued its probe into fictitious corporate social responsibility programs involving a number of state-owned enterprises, including Bank BNI, BRI, PT Asuransi Kesehatan Pertamina, PGN, Pelindo and Hutama Karya.
On Friday, May 29, 2015, Bareskrim summoned state-owned port operator Pelindo II president director Richard Joost Lino as a witness in a fake CSR case worth Rp317 billion.
“A number of witnesses will be summoned today, including him [Richard],” Bareskrim chief Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso said on Friday, May 29, 2015.
Budi said that Bareskrim would continue the investigation into the case.
“Physically, the program [of rice field procurement] does not exist. We are suspicious that the fund had been embezzled,” Budi said.
According to Budi, the CSR program in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, involved a number of state-owned enterprises that disbursed the fund. The rice field procurement was among several other programs, such as buckwheat development, cattle breeding and low-cost apartment development.
Bareskrim summoned state gas company (PGN) president director Hendi Priyosantoso, PT Sang Hyang Seri president director Upik Raslina and former Pertamina president director Karen Agustiawan on Thursday, May 28, 2015. However, the three witnesses skipped the questioning.
