TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The loading deck basement of Pullman Hotel on Jl. Mayor Jenderal S. Parman in West Jakarta caught light at around 8:30 a.m. this. A total of 11 fire trucks were sent to the location to put out the fire.
“The fire was extinguished at around 9:30 a.m. this morning,” said the West Jakarta Fire and Disaster Mitigation Agency’s operations head, Agus M., on Monday, May 25, 2015.
Agus said his agency was still investigating the cause of the fire, and that the initial assumption was that the fire began from the piles of dry garbage on the scene.
“The space that went up in flames was some sort of a storage used to keep recyclable waste,” he said.
There was no reported casualty in the incident.
