TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Depok resort police early on Sunday conducted a raid in seven places considered as crime-ridden places in the city.
Chief of Depok resort police Adj. Comr. Sr. Dwiyono said that the raid involved 445 police personnel from the police, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), and officials from Depok Transportation Agency.
The joint raid was aimed at creating a safe condition and preventing crimes such as theft, violence, and drug circulation.
"We found violations in several places,” Dwiyono said.
In the raid, the officials arrested one man who was caught carrying 10 packages of sabu-sabu (methamphetamine), four man who were caught gambling, one man who was caught carrying a sharp weapon and 17 gangsters who usually operate in Cimanggis.
