TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coach of Indonesian Swimming Association (PRSI) Albert Christiadi Sutanto is confident that his team is capable to bring home the targeted five gold medals in Singapore 2015 SEA Games.
“We have not much time, what we do now is improving our power and speed,” said Albert in Jakarta, Thursday.
Albert further said that Indonesian swimming team will be focusing to win golds in short-distance categories such as 50 meters and 100 meters.
In different occassion, PRSI Chairman, Sandiaga Uno expressed his expectation that the team would win all targeted gold medals.
“We actually wanted more than five gold medals, but we are being realistic to the current condition, for example the tighter competition in ASEAN regional. I note that Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia will be our toughest competitors,” said Sandiaga in PRSI National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at Amos Cozy Hotel, Jakarta on Wednesday, May 20.
Sandiaga also mentioned about minimum supports from the government that becomes one of obstacles in 2015 SEA Games preparation.
