TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The low-cost subsidiary of Indonesia's flag-carrier, Citilink Indonesia, has dismissed social media claims that stated a Citilink Indonesia en route from Surabaya to Kupang lost all contacts with operators on the ground.
"It's not true that a Citilink Indonesia aircraft went missing, all of our aircrafts and flights are operating as per normal," said Citilink Indonesia's Vice President for Corporate Communications, Benny S ButarButar, to Antara on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, in Surabaya.
ButarButar explained that the flight in question - flight QG9701 bound for Kupang from Surabaya - took off from Juanda International Airport in Surabaya on 06:30am Western Indonesia Time, before successfully and safely landing in Kupang's El Tari Airport at 09:20am, Central Indonesia Time.
