TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sad news coming from the world of Indonesian entertainment. Ferrasta Soebardi, or better known as Pepeng, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 6, 2015, at Puri Cinere Hospital, Depok. He was 60 years old.
The news was delivered by Bens Leo, a friend of Pepeng who is also an observer of Indonesian music.
"He passed away at around 10:02pm," said Leo.
Leo explained that Pepeng entered the ICU room since early morning at 02:00am.
"At the moment, the plan is to have the body to be brought to the funeral home," he said.
The senior comedian and radio presenter was notedly famous for hosting a TV show quiz named 'Jari-Jari' in the 90s.
His son, Gemirio Muhammad, said that his father had been on intensive care for an enlarged heart since August 2013.
"He suffered complication of multiple sclerosis and heart disease," said Gemirio.
