TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas (SKK Migas) signed three sales and purchase agreements for natural gas to support the 35,000 MW power plant project. The agreements have the potential to increase state revenue by Rp33.74 trillion during the contracts' validity period.
The signed deals are two gas sale and purchase agreement (GSA) and one head of agreement (HOA). The first GSA is between ConocoPhillips Grissik Ltd and PT PLN (Persero), a 40-BBTUD gas supply deal for the electricity sector in Sumatra, western Java, and Batam valid for three years.
The GSA is a contract amendment between Petroselat and PLN; a five-BBTUD gas supply for Riau's electricity demand. The contract is valid for five years.
The HOA was signed by PetroChina International Jabung Ltd and state-owned PT Bumi Samudra Perkasa. The contract ensures power supply to electricity generators in Jambi.
"The upstream gas sector is expected to contribute up to 13,400 MW of electricity for the 35,000 MW power project," SKK Migas chief Amien Sunaryadi said in a written statement yesterday.
