TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An unidentified man was found dead after he allegedly hung himself on a signal box near Pancasila University station in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on Saturday.
The man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself.
Head of Criminal Unit of Jagakarsa Sector Police Iptu Hari Subeno said that the body had been taken to Fatmawati Hospital.
Hari added that the man was first found by Hilman, a TNI (Indonesian National Defense Forces) personnel who was stationed to patrol Pancasila University train station.
"Hilman was told by the residents that there was a man hanging himself on the signal box," Hari said, adding that that police are still investigating the motive for the suicide and have not found any injuries in his body.
"We suspect that he committed suicide,” he concluded.
