TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) officially ceases all football competitions in 2015 season. The decision was made in PSSI Executive Committee meeting (Exco PSSI) on Saturday, May at the organization’s office in Senayan.
“The 2015 Indonesian Super League (ISL) competition is declared Force Majeure due to extraordinary condition outside PSSI that makes the competition can not be completed, so the competition is ceased,” said PSSI Deputy Chairman, Hinca Panjaitan, after the meeting as reported on PSSI official website on Saturday.
Hinca further explained that the main reason behind the decision is that PSSI freezing by the Sport Minister Imam Nahrawi and the permits that was not issued by the police for the competition. Therefore, all 2015 competition from the ISL to Suratin Cup are halted.
The CEO of PT Liga Indonesia, Joko Driyono said he can only comply to the decision made by Exco PSSI.
Exco PSSI was attended by PSSI Chairman, La Nyalla Mataliti, two deputy chairmans Hinca and Erwin Dwi Budiawan, and all members of PSSI PSSI Executive Committee except for Dodi Alex Reza Noerdin and Joko Driyono. The meeting was a closed-meeting.
