IHSG Predicted to Soar Next Week

3 May 2015 15:50 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lucky Bayu Promono, an analyst from LBP Interprise, predicted that the Indonesian Composite Index (IHSG) would rebound next week. During the closing trading period on Thursday, April 30, 2015, the IHSG stood at 5,086.

“The IHSG price will potentially increase to 5,100,” Lucky said in a press release received by Tempo on Sunday, May 03, 2015.

According to Lucky, the IHSG price will rise since market makers are saturated with sell action over the last two weeks. Therefore, Lucky predicted that the increasing IHSG in a short run will still see speculative actions.

Lucky added that market makers tend to accumulate tradings on large-capacity and fundamentally-solid stocks, including those of Bank Mandiri, BCA, BRI, Bukopin Danamon and BTN.

“I think next week will be interesting since the market condition would be relatively cheap. This is what we call a discount market,” Lucky said.

The IHSG decline to 5,086 was the lowest in 2015. Averagely in April, 2015, the IHSG plunged by 7.83 percent, removing its 5.84 percent rise achieved three months earlier.
