TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo indicated that nine death row convicts will be executed tonight, April 28, 2015, or on April 29, 2015, at the latest, Prasetyo said that today will be the last day for families of the convicts to conduct visits.
"You can interpret [what I mean]," Prasetyo said at the State Palace on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
Prasetyo also confirmed that Mary Jane Fiesta Velose, a death row convict from the Philippines and the only female, will also be executed. Prasetyo also said that Serge Atlaoui, the French national who is supposed to be executed along with the rest of the convicts will not be executed due to unfinished legal processes.
Prasetyo however, refused to provide the exact time of the execution to prevent any interruption. He also said that security details have been fully prepared.
Nine of the death row convicts include Martin Anderson (Nigeria), Raheem Agbajee Salame (Nigeria), Okwudili Oyatanze (Nigeria), Sylvester Obiekwe Nwolise (Nigeria), Rodrigo Gularte (Brasil), Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso (Filipina), Andrew Chan (Australia), Myuran Sukumaran (Australia), dan Zainal Abidin (Indonesia).
