TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Maritime and Fishery Minister Susi Pudjiastuti will replace some echelon-1 officials, or director general level in the ministry, but has yet announced their names.

According to an official in the ministry environment, Susi will remove three or four director generals and also plans to narrow echelon-1 officials next year.  “It could not be done this year because the budget has been set,” the official told Tempo Monday, April 27.

Susi said: “In the event to increase quality services to society, the ministry will continously be structuring positions.”

After conducting transfers and rotation towards 19 high leadership officials equal to echelon-2 in January 2015, Susi says she will begin thefilling process to be conducted openly for High Leadership Position (JPT) Madya or equal to echelon-1.

According to Law No.5 Year 2014 on Civil State Apparatus, the filling of JPT Madya position should be performed competitively and for certain positions, it could be participated by non-government officials, Susi said.

Therefore, the ministry is giving opportunities for government nor non-government officials to meet the requirements inorder to paricipate in the selection that is scheduled this week.

The selection process is estimated to be over at the end of May 2015.  The selection results will be submitted to Presiden Joko Widodo to be set with a presidential decree.
