Goldman Sachs Injects US$40 B into CompareAsiaGroup

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Goldman Sachs Investment Partners said that it will provide a US$ 40 million capital for CompareAsiaGroup to develop segments of the financial industry that are yet to experience technological advancement. The fund will also put Goldman Sachs as one of the CompareAsiaGroup Board of Directors members.
Kenneth Eberts, Goldman Sach Investment Partners co-head said on Sunday, April 26, 2015, that his company expects to help CompareAsiaGroup in reaching their ambitions to increase added-value for consumers and shareholders.
CompareAsiaGroup currently manages the HaloMoney.co.id portal in Indonesia, which provides a comparison of financial companies, credit cards, and insurance services. Currently, the company operates in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
