TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Maluku provincial government is set to build the Buddha Center and the Hindu Center in 2016 so that all religions in the province have equal facilities to support religious activities in the province.
"We built an Islamic Center to support the national MTQ (Qoran reading competition), and this year, we’re going to build the Catholic Center and the Christian Center to support the 2015 national church choir competition," said Maluku Governor Said in Ambon on Saturday.
The building of the Catholic Center and the Christian Center is still under way and is expected to be completed in August 2015.
Maluku provincial government has also sent a letter to President Joko Widodo to be present and officially open the choice competition as well as to inaugurate the Catholic Center and Christian Center.
"The official opening is scheduled to be done in October 2015," he said.
