TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A lawyer accompanying Nigerian death row inmate Raheem Agbaje Salami said in Cilacap, Central Java, on Saturday night that the execution of 10 death row inmates, including Salami, are set to be done on Tuesday.
“Like the first round, the executions will be conducted on Tuesday,” said lawyer Utomo Karim after accompanying his client to receive notification of his execution from the prosecutor at Besi prison on Nusakambangan Island.
Utomo also said one by one, all 10 death row inmates were notified about their execution.
In the meantime, Attorney General Prasetyo said in Jakarta on Saturday that the Attorney General Office would carry out the executions as soon as possible because all preparations had been made.
“The sooner the better,” he said, adding that the execution date had yet to be set.
