Waskita Aims for Rp5.3tn Rights Issue Proceeds

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned listed constructor PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (IDX: WSKT) is planning to hold a rights issue. The company will use the proceeds to fund the projects it will work on this year.  

Corporate secretary Antonius Yulianto TN said Waskita will hold the rights offering in the second quarter of 2015, seeking Rp5.3 trillion proceeds. As many as Rp3.5 trillion is expected to be obtained from the government, and the remaining Rp1.8 trillion is expected to be pooled in from public investors.

"The proceeds from the rights issue will be used to construct the trans-Java toll road and transmission projects in Sumatra," he said.

Another infrastructure SOE planning to hold a rights offering this year is PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI). Adhi Karya will hold a rights issue in the second semester, seeking to garner Rp2.74 trillion in proceeds, which they will use to support the government's infrastructure development programs.
