Nine Heads of States Cancel Visit to Bandung

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Yuri Octavian Thamrin, the director for Asia-Pacific and Africa at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, said that nine heads of states have canceled their visit to Bandung. Yuri confirmed that the heads of states have decided to return to their home country today.
"Due to official affairs at their home countries, [the heads of states] must return home today," Yuri said on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Jakarta Convention Center.
Among the delegations who will not attend the historical walk in Bandung were Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Jordanian King Abdullah II, Singaporean Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Republic of Seychelles Vice President Danny Faure, Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and delegations from Vanuatu.
Yuri explained that several guests who will attend the historical walk of AAC decided to take flights from Jakarta. The Indonesian government has prepared 22 VVIP planes to transport foreign delegations. Several heads of states used their private planes from their countries.
