TEMPO.CO, Subang – The Subang Police of West Java have deployed 320 personnel to secure a number of locations deemed vital during the Asian-African summit in Bandung, West Java.
Subang Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Harry Kurniawan told Tempo on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 that the locations comprised a string of roads and a tourist destination.
“We've blockaded three roads, viz. Cipeundeuy, Patokbeusi and Jl. Cagak,” he said, adding that the tourist spot was the Tangkuban Parahu Nature Tourism Park.
The park has been placed under heightened security as it was scheduled as a tourist destination the Asia-Africa Conference (AAC) delegates would visit during the conference.
Comr. Bobby Indra, the Subang Police’s operations chief, added that security measures in vital objects had kicked off. “We dispatched our personnel yesterday and this will end on April 25, 2015.”
He said the locations had been sterilized and the conditions in the areas were “safe and under control.”
