TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - At least two staffs of the Indonesian Embassy in Yemen were injured because of the explosion that occurred close to the embassy building. According to Yudi, one of the embassy staffs contacted by Tempo on Monday, April 20, 2015, said that the two injured staffs have been evacuated from the embassy.

"[The staffs] were injured by glass shards," Yudi said to Tempo, adding that he cannot provide further information because he is currently evacuating other victims.

Yudi previously said that the embassy was damaged by an explosion originated by a bomb exploding close to the embassy building. Aji Surya, Head of the Repatriation and Social Aid sub-directorate at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, said that the explosion damaged 90 percent of the embassy building and all of the staffs are being evacuated to a state guesthouse.

The ongoing war in Yemen between the Sunni government and Shiite Houthi Rebel has deteriorated the country. The Indonesian government has been attempting to evacuate Indonesians from the country since December 2014. By the end of last year, the government has managed to evacuate 332 Indonesians, while in the February-March 2015 period, 148 people have been successfully evacuated, and another 220 follows on the fires week of April.
