TEMPO.CO, Surabaya - Newly elected Head of Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, plans to meet Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi today, on Monday, April 20. La Nyalla said that Minister Nahrawi had no idea on the underway issue and that he would like to question the decision to ban PSSI.
"We will tell everything, and we will question the ban," he said.
Previously, the ministry has issued a ban against PSSI on April 17, for failing to obey government’s instruction. One day after that, PSSI elected its new chief, La Nyalla, on a national conference.
La Nyalla claimed that the ban has no proper reason. He argued that the National League, now named the Qatar National Bank League, is an internal matter of PSSI, not the ministry or the Indonesian Sports Association.Moreover, La Nyalla said that he would form a team to end the clash between PSSI and the Ministry.
