TEMPO.CO, Bandar Lampung - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has announced a 5.2-Richter Scale earthquake occurring in the northeast part of Southwest Maluku on Wednesday at 6:41am.
According to the BMKG’s Head of Geophysics Station Kotabumi Lampung Yuharman, the epicenter was at a latitude of 7.60 degrees South Latitude and 128.79 East Longitude with a depth of 172km.
The location of the quake was in Banda Sea; 266km northeast of Southwest Maluku; 286km southeast of West Southeast Maluku; 460km northeast of Alor East Nusa Tenggara; 443km southeast Ambon Maluku; and 2.445km southeast Jakarta.
BMKG has confirmed that the quake is not potential to a tsunami threat.
