Bandung Airport to be Closed During 60th Commemoration of AAC

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - During the 60th Commemoration of the Asian-African Conference (AAC), which is to be held in Bandung, the city’s Hussein Sastranegara airport will be closed for two days.
Yayan Hendrayani, General Manager of airport said that the airport would be closed for commercial flights starting 23 April 2015 at 4pm until 24 April at 9pm.
For the record, Hussein Sastranegara airport will be prepared as the point of arrival for world leaders who are going to attend the event, which is to be held on 24 April 2015.
Yayan also said that the plan to close the airport had been informed to airlines operating flights to and form the city.
"In total, there are around 100 flights to and from the airport ever day,” he said, adding that operational hour of the airport usually ends at 9pm.
He also said that the airport would be sterilized starting 23 April 2015 before the world leaders arrive on 24 April 2015.
