TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Heru Budi Hartono, head of the Jakarta Financial and Asset Management Board (BPKAD), said that 158 sites under Jakarta administration management have not paid Rp 134 billion (US$10.3 million) worth of unpaid electricity bills dating back from January to April 2015.
"The state electricity company has sent the notification," Heru said at the City Hall on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, adding that the locations consist of governmental offices and schools.
According to Heru, the Jakarta administration has asked the offices and schools to send letters o the administration to have their bills paid. The budget allocated by the Jakarta administration for the sites include telephone, water and electricity bills.
Arie Budhiman, head of the Jakarta Education Agency, said that he has yet to receive any report about the unpaid bills from public schools. Arie called on local principals to send the request letter to the BPKAD.
