TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Adj. Sr. Comr. Kristianingsih, a spokesperson for the Police hospital in Kramat Jati, said she could not reveal the results of autopsy Akseyna Ahad Dori, 18, a student of the University of Indonesia (UI), who was found drowned in a lake near the university on March 26, 2015. “That is not our job,” she told Tempo on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.
She said police investigators were the ones with the authority to announce the autopsy results, and that the Depok Police were still looking into the case. “That’s the right of police investigators.”
She said the hospital was only tasked to run the autopsy, adding that other information on the case should be addressed to investigators. “We can only reveal the autopsy results at the investigators’ request,” she said.
Earlier, Akseyna’s body had been found floating in Kenanga lake at the UI complex. The police suspected Akseyna, now in his first semester on the campus, had been murdered—following the discovery of rocks inside his bag, which they alleged had been used to drown the victim.
Kristianingsih has also corroborated the statement. “If viewed from the condition when the victim was first found, it was probably a murder,” she said, yet adding that she did not want to speculate and would leave the case in the hands of investigators.
