TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Cilincing Police traffic unit chief Adj. Comr. Iskandar said a member of the North Jakarta Transportation Agency, Nasori, 35, was found dead on Jl. Akses Marunda, Cilincing, North Jakarta.
“He was found by locals in the afternoon,” he said on Monday, March 30, 2015.
Iskandar said Nasori was found slumping in the middle of the street, with severe wounds in his head and hands. His motorcycle was found beside him, with VIN B-6867-UVF.
Iskandar added the police were still investigating the case and looking for witnesses. “There are no witnesses to question so far, we are still looking for them,” he said. “Our initial assumption is that he had become a victim of a hit-and-run,” he said.
The North Jakarta Transportation Agency’s supervision and control chief Hengki Sitorus said the victim had only worked in the agency for a month, and that Ansori was previously a member of the North Jakarta Public Order Agency.
Hengki said he was still in the dark on the accident’s chronology, but confirmed that Nasori was stationed on Jl. Akses Marunda. “He arranged the traffic there,” Hengki said, adding that Nasori’s body had been rushed to the police hospital for autopsy.
