Coca-Cola Build New Factories

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Coca Cola Company (TCCC) inaugurated two of its latest production lines located at the Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia Factory in Bekasi. "We see Indonesia as a promising market and is one of the engine of growth to achieve our long-term vision," The Coca-Cola Company CEO and Chairman Muhtar Kent said during the inauguration event of the new production lines on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
The amount of investment made for developing the two new factories reaches up to US $500 million. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia will have a share ownership rate of 24.9 percent.
The funds will also be used to accelerate the expansion of production systems, storage, and infrastructure in providing cold beverages.
"The US$500 million investment confirms our faith in Indonesia that it will help us seize the opportunity to continue to grow in large countries and at the same allowed us to be more responsive in responding to consumers need and business partner," Muhtar Kent said.
In the past three years, Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia has inaugurated 18 new production lines, placing 150,000 refrigerators and developed a giant distribution center to increase local capacity with an investment value reaching hundreds of millions of US Dollars.
