Bandung Prepares Rp218mn for Gemstone Ring Provision

TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Head of Tourism Agency of Bandung, Herlan J.S., said that the akik gemstones to be given to 109 Heads of State during the Asian-African Conference are set in production. Herlan added that one akik jewel ring will cost at exactly Rp1 million.

Each Head of State will receive a pair of Akik Jewel rings. Therefore, Bandung City Administration has prepared Rp218 million for Akik gemstone ring provision.

Previously, Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil said that the Heads of State will be given Baturaja Akik. The blue gemstone was chosen as it resembles the color of Persib Bandung.

The jewel is specifically designed, with ‘Asia’ and ‘Afrika’ engraved on its sides and ‘Bandung 2015’ on its bottom. The precious jewel will be presented along other gifts, such as batik and letter from the Mayor.
