TEMPO.CO, Tangerang – The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s Immigration Office is still looking into the document forgery involving Chinese national Lin Chuan Hui, 24.
Initial investigation has revealed Lin paid Rp8 million to secure a family card, a Jakarta ID card from the West Jakarta Civil Registration Office and a birth certificate from the Central Jakarta Civil Registration Office.
“He got the bogus documents from an Indonesian by paying the latter Rp8 million,” said Sutrisno, the airport’s immigration office head, on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
The Indonesian aiding Lin in obtaining the documents has been identified as A Hua, a colleague of Lin’s. Sutrisno said A Hua sought help from another Indonesian to produce the fake documents.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s immigration authorities arrested Lin on March 4, 2015. Lin has stayed in Indonesia for seven years and is a commissioner at PT Putra Resource Indonesia, a private company, located on Jl. Pangeran Jayakarta 127, Central Jakarta.
